Engineering Sustainable Systems Dual Degree Program
Engineering Sustainable Systems
This unique new program is the first in the world to offer a dual degree in both engineering and environmental science. Bringing together two of U-M's nationally recognized programs, it enables engineering students to graduate with both a Master of Science in Engineering (MSE) and a Master of Science (MS) from the School of Natural Resources and the Environment.
It is a 54-credit program that requires approximately 2 to 2 1/2 years to complete. Students must be admitted to both the College of Engineering and the School of Natural Resources and the Environment.
The graphic below shows some examples of how this dual degree prepares engineers to develop new solutions that will protect the delicate global balance between escalating environmental and human needs.
